Who we are
Pixiboo is an educational hardware project by Tessa Ickx, based in Belgium. For privacy-related questions, contact us via LinkedIn.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist on pixi.boo, we collect:
- Your email address
- The date and time you signed up
- Your browser's user agent string (technical info about your browser and device)
Why we collect it
We use your email to send updates about Pixiboo — for example launch news, pre-order information, and product announcements. The user agent helps us understand which browsers and devices visitors use, so we can improve the site and editor experience.
Legal basis
We process your email address based on your consent when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us via LinkedIn.
Where data is stored
Waitlist data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database operated by Google LLC. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Google participates in applicable data transfer frameworks. See Firebase's privacy documentation for more information.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on the waitlist until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it for launch communications. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under GDPR, if you are in the European Economic Area you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via LinkedIn.
Cookies and analytics
The pixi.boo landing page does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The waitlist form connects directly to Firebase to store your submission.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the waitlist after changes means you accept the updated policy.
